Can Another Speech Really Help Obama ?

Three years into the most polarizing, devisive, failed presidency in America history the master of deciet will step up to the microphone, AGAIN - to give another speech -- are we ready for this ? Can we stand the suspense ?

The circus is back in town after cutting the la di da vacation at Marthas' Vineyard short by a WHOLE DAY in order to deal with the worsening crisis, Obama's thirty nine percent approval rating. Three years into the failed presidency Obama's team is screaming "Stop the Presses" "Stop the World" The messiah will speak about jobs and the economy. If he really wanted to help he would have stayed on vacation.

He cannot even give a speech any longer without starting a fight, of course that is not his fault,nothing is. As if we haven't had enough Obama speeches, full of rhetoric, and empty promises.

Now Obama asked Congress to convene an extraordinary joint session next Wednesday to hear his old boring proposals to put jobless Americans back to work, but House Speaker John Boehner balked and told the president he ought to wait and speak a day later.

Of course Obama never misses a chance to start trouble. After waiting almost three years to get this presidents attention, we all must drop everything we are doing and join in on this circus act. The timing of his speech would also would be a poke in the eye at GOP presidential candidates who are to gather for a campaign debate in Simi Valley, Calif., at the same hour as the president's speech.

Obama drops this bombshell without warning, the White House notified Boehner's office on the same day it released the letter requesting the session, knowing it would conflict with Congress' schedule, and create more "conflict" have we about had it with the conflict yet ?

I think we all can pretty much sit this one out, we've heard it all before, the talking points will basically be the same ;

1.All these ideas for jobs are ones that have been presented to Congress before -- Congress needs to act.

2.Unfortunately, at a time when money is tight. George Bush left us a $1 trillion deficit -- Congress needs to act.

3.The Tea-Party Republicans -- have made it very difficult for me to get progressive things done -- Congress needs to act

4.Congress needs to act, Congress needs to act,Congress needs to act,Congress needs to act.

blah, blah, blah, blah

It has never even dawned on this entitled, spoiled, out of touch, simpleton, that the best way to keep his job is to stop campaigning, and do something. The Obama media has been chomping at the bit to take the smallest little success and hype the life out of for him, and he cannot deliver, pitiful.

Obama was recently booed the annual meeting of the American Medical Association in Chicago. He was booed by an audience that included America's leading medical experts for declaring he was "not advocating caps on malpractice awards. Medical experts know what Obama refuses to discuss. It costs a great deal of money, and a greater an amount of valuable time, for a medical practitioner to protect himself or herself against malpractice lawsuits. Some estimates run as high as $100 billion a year .

Obama has called the cost of health care "a threat to our economy" and "a ticking time-bomb." so it seems strange that he declares “off limits “one of the obvious solutions to lowering health care costs. Obama continues to pay lip service to being "willing to listen" and we "need to explore a range of ideas" Could this have something to do with the fact that the tort bar has been the largest single contributor to the Democratic Party in recent years?

Obama and Democrats continue to simply slam the door on any discussion on a wide range of issues they consider sacrosanct such as ; medicare, social security, welfare reform , entitlement spending, as well as tort reform that. While masquerading under the guise of  watching out of the middle class and poor, Obama Democrats actually continue to feed the coffers of bankers, and lawyers at the expense of the taxpayer. No one has suffered more from Obama's failed economic policies, or lack of than the poor and the middle class.

Just the mere mention of any of these issues by a Republican in relation to the credit crisis or the national debt brings out the fear mongers on the left, but no discussion of the issues.

The fear mongering continues, and important issues such as ; welfare reform, entitlement spending, medicare, social security, and tort reform remain off the table for discussion. Meanwhile Obama continues to apply "word fixes" to our  our problems while doing nothing.

Thanks Governor Rick Perry  we are, for the first time, able to use “Ponzi scheme” to describe Medicare and Medicaid. Malpractice Insurance  costs are major cost of health care, frivolous lawsuits drive up the costs for all of us. If Obama and The Democrats were serious about addressing the cost of health care they would be seriously talking about setting reasonable limits on frivolous lawsuits and trying to rein in the high cost associated with health care.


Rick Perry  "Dangerous" for America ? I cannot imagine anyone more dangerous for America  than the third rate community organizer that has taken over our government and surrounded himself with fourth and fith rate talent.

Maybe  Perry will be the one to lead us out of Governance by  INCOMPETENCE  - CORRUPTION - PATRONAGE  and  REGULATIONS and back to Governance for the people by the people.

Letter to the Editor: Obama among worst presidents

I came across this letter to the editor in The Leavenworth Times, and thought it was one of the most accurate analysis of the Obama presidency I have ever read. You can read the entire letter below, or also here

To the editor:
Since 1900, America has had 19 presidents, not counting McKinley who took office in 1897. Three of them died in office and one resigned. Teddy Roosevelt replaced the assassinated McKinley, Harry Truman replaced FDR, Lyndon Johnson replaced Jack Kennedy, and Gerald Ford took over for Nixon, who resigned. Teddy and Harry were later elected on their own, so by my count, our voters have elected 17 presidents since 1904. We've had varied results.

It seems to me that some of those presidents were (or are) terrible, and maybe we need to consider qualifications more closely when we elect new ones. If only we knew which qualifications to look for, and which to shun. Perhaps we can work them out, to some extent, based on history.

People will rate these 19 presidents differently. I choose, as the best: Teddy Roosevelt, Harry Truman, and Ronald Reagan; the worst: Woodrow Wilson, Jimmy Carter, and Barack Obama. Franklin Delano Roosevelt belongs in both groups – some of his choices were very good, others very bad – my opinion.

The best presidents were hard working, dedicated men who made the right decisions for the right reasons. The worst? Wilson, the first progressive, was a liberal who led the nation into a war in which the United States had no compelling interest, costing 117,000 American lives and more than 200,000 wounded. Carter was a weak and ineffectual president who could be counted on to make the wrong decision every time, based on shaky intellectual judgment and liberal values. Obama is – what I said about Carter, but perhaps 10 times worse (in my opinion) because he is a fanatical ideologue and a narcissist who believes himself infallible – he doesn't value the opinions of others.

So, what qualities did the good presidents have in common? Hard work, honesty, belief in America, dedication to the job, and solid principles. They had sufficient intellect to understand the issues and make the right choices. All were experienced and successful in many facets of life before taking office. (Truman failed as a haberdasher, but was a highly successful captain of artillery in World War I. In World War II, he made his mark as a no-nonsense senator. He was incredibly honest and dedicated.)
The bad presidents? In my opinion, Carter was simply incompetent, though honest and well-meaning. Wilson and Obama were ideologues who wanted to take the country leftward. Obama came to office with virtually no useful experience, although he served in the Illinois and U.S. senates briefly, without distinction. He seems to have a high intellect, but no common sense – little aptitude for leadership, and skewed values that led him the wrong way.

When we voters look at the candidates, what qualities should we favor? I'd go for: a record of hard work and accomplishment; experience (particularly military and/or as governor); dedication; values; and intellect. Leadership is a must.

So, from the current crop of Republican candidates, I'd have to pick Romney and Gingrich as having the most experience, dedication, and intellect. (I may be Newt's only fan), I like Santorum, Pawlenty, and Bachman, but all lack experience. If Rick Perry jumps in, he moves to the top of my list. His more than three terms as a successful governor of Texas are on the record. His leadership, dedication, and values can't be surpassed.

I think Mr. Dameron is right on. The qualities most desired in the 2012 election will be hard work and accomplishment; experience (particularly military and/or as governor); dedication; values; and intellect.

Leadership is a must !

Obama’s job approval hits a new low .

Only 26 percent of Americans approve of Obama’s handling of the economy. I'll leave you to imagine the demographics of that 26 percent.

I don't want too sound pushy, or ungrateful for what he has done to save us from Bush, but he's been in office for almost three years now, what the hell is he waiting for.

The new low is a drop of 11 percentage points since Gallup last measured it in May and well below his previous low of 35 percent in November 2010.

Obama earned similarly low approval for his handling of the federal budget deficit (24 percent) and creating jobs (29 percent). His approval ratings on Afghanistan and foreign affairs also sunk by 15 points and 9 points, respectively.

History will remember this period as three years of political warfare, a Socialist power grab that ignored the state of the union and the majority of the American people in order to push a Socialist political agenda, the messy political debate in Washington over the debt ceiling, followed by distress on Wall Street, the downgrading of our country, and tragedy in Afghanistan,

Gallup wrote on its website. “How much each of these factors is responsible for the overall decline in Obama’s approval rating is unclear. But Americans’ unhappiness with each of them is reflected in recent declines in Obama’s specific job ratings for the economy, the federal budget deficit, and various foreign policy measures, as well as in his markedly low rating for creating jobs.

There is only one word left to describe this political experiment "ugly"

More and more Americans are not seeing any greatness in this president and want to move on.

Obama administration looking for re-election "fix"

I am not going to go on the usual rant " ARE THEY NUTS...blah, blah blah " There is no need. Any rational person can see the plan at work here. The Obama administration clearly has their eyes on re-election, not long term growth or healthy economy.

Obama likes this job. He likes flying Air Force One, he likes hopping around in Marine One, and being called "Mr. President" it impresses him, he likes how he looks and feels in this privileged position. If we gave him the choice he would never leave.

The messy democracy, the economy, jobs, wars that's all the stuff that gets in the way of him enjoying himself and being "Obama", but he deals with it.

If we gave every unemployed person in the country $50,000, it would create stuff, no doubt, temporary stuff. It would last until it ran out, just like the Stimulus, then crash again.

Obama's Pastor the foul mouthed Rev Wright likes to say when referencing Obama that "Sheep get lost six feet at time" They can't see well, and stumble from rock, to bush, to outcropping looking for their shepard. Obama can't see past the next election cycle.

The comedy that this admintartion has become is not just embarrassing, it is harmful to our country, economy and people. After taking office Obama assured the world he would knock America down to size. No more of this exceptionlism nonsense. We would be no better or no worse that any other third world country, or banana republic, we are closing in on them fast. His wife Michelle even remarked 'It was the first she was ever proud of her country", after we elected her husband.

Now it's election time. We get speeches about how great America is. We are AAA country, We used to build the best roads and stuff, there is no problem with America, only a problem with congress. Obviously he reads the polls and wants to take advantage of congress's low approval rating. But he should read deeper into the polls, because while Congresses approval rating is at an all time low, when pressed on the question most voters would send their representative back for another term. The polls now are indicating that most voters do not want to send Obama back for another term.

It remains to be seen how far this administration will go to get re-elected, but considering the election cycle has just begun it looks to be getting very ugly. very quickly That's bad news for us.

You can't put lipstick on this pig

You don't have to be an economist to understand these numbers, they speak for themselves. This ugly picture is the the Civilian Employment to Population Ratio.

There are two points on the chart that immediately jump out at you. In 1984 jobs and the economy starting growing at an unprecedented rate. In 2008 the chart falls off steeply and begins to look like a graveyard dive.

Reaganomics is generally considered to have ushered in an era of prosperity and growth, this chart seems to bear that out. We are in the midst of a the great liberal experiment, Keynesian economics and spread the wealth Socialism.

This administration and liberals have been hell bent to prove Reagan wrong. They have had their chance, they have taken their best shot, but they have only made Reagan look better.

In 1984 the percentage of population employed was at about 57 % since then it has steadily grown to reached a level of about 63 % in 2005.

Today it is back to about 58 %. During the Obama administration we have erased almost 30 years of job growth, and are now back at the levels we have not seen since the 1970's.

We either were in one big fantasy bubble from 1980's until 2005 or the Obama administration is definitely on the wrong track.

There is no silver lining in these numbers, it is weak, weak, weak. And confidence that things will improve is getting worse.

As far as Obama saving us from another Great Depression, well, it ain't over yet.

Republicans hold off Dems in Wisconsin

A stand by Wisconsin Republicans against a massive effort to oust them from power could reverberate across the country as the battle over union rights and the conservative revolution heads toward the 2012 presidential race.

Six Republicans faced recall elections in the Wisconsin state Senate. Democrats needed to pick up three seats to have a chance at taking control. They picked up two seats, falling short.

Next week Senate Democrats face two recall elections. Thus, the Democrat's gains may be short-lived.

5 Seats were decided earlier, the last seat was just announced. With 96% of the vote in, News 3 is calling District 8 for Incumbent Sen. Alberta Darling.

The two Democrat pickups were in liberal-leaning districts, with one Senator who barely won in the general election having other personal issues.

11:36 P.M.: Democrats have won a second state senate district — Oshkosh Deputy Mayor Jessica King (D) has beaten state Sen. Randy Hopper (R). King lost narrowly to Hopper in a 2008 race that went to a recount; this time around Hopper took hits not just for his voting record but for his messy divorce and relationship with a staffer.

Democrats have taken down two state senators — Dan Kapanke (R), and Randy Hopper. They need to win the final remaining race — against state Sens. Alberta Darling — to have a chance at taking back the state senate. Both Democratic state senators facing recalls next Tuesday will also have to hold onto their seats for the senate to change hands.

These election results will allow Governor Scott Walker to continue with his common-sense efforts to reform Wisconsin. The Democrats in Wisconsin will have to find some other way to subvert the will of the people.

Yes, the Huffington Post really did "dis' their messiah

Yes, the Huffington Post really did put together a video montage showing how often Barack Obama has promised to focus on jobs, and how that promise has gone unfulfilled, again, and again ad nauseum.

Even the HufPost is getting sick of the Obama rhetoric. In July, 117,000 jobs were added in the economy, and the unemployment rate dropped to 9.1 percent from 9.2 percent. But the drop in the unemployment rate should not be celebrated as a signal of strong growth: It came almost entirely from Americans dropping out of the labor force.

What will be interesting to see as this train wreck piles up on itself, is whether liberals will reject their failed collectivists policies, or throw their messiah under the bus ?

I think we already know the answer to that question. For liberals it's always party before country, tactics before principles, and everyone is expendable, even Obama.

Europe's Death Grip on American Liberals

Misery and failure love company, nobody likes to suffer alone. So it is that as Europe comes to grips with it's failing Euro Zone concept of cradle-to-grave welfare, open borders, and a single currency, it eagerly encourages America to follow the same path to destruction. And the the radical left in America is all too happy to hold hands with their Socialist European brothers and leap off the cliff of economic insanity to destruction.

The "Tea Party" in Europe has become a household word. The lefties in Europe call it the radical right "Tea Party" and proclaim it will bring the utter destruction of Democracy and Freedom in America. In fact, it is difficult to know where the left in Europe ends and the left in America begins anymore, they have become virtually identical movements.

Der Speigal does a hatchet job on the Tea Party in and article that it calls "Annihilating Democracy with the Tea Party " If I didn't know better I would think I was reading the Daily Kos it's the same rehashed tripe, here is an example :

Democracy depends on compromise and the American government depends on all branches working together. The Tea Party movement shuns both, preferring instead to drive the state into bankruptcy. On principle.

Suddenly liberals are all about compromise and all branches of the government working together. However when all branches of government worked together to block the disastrous Obamacare Health Care bill, they used political trickery to shove it down our throats.

The article goes on to complain that the American government has been virtually hijacked by these right-wing radicals and they are not answerable to the people :

It's a matter of principle. They view themselves as being on a mission and proudly claim to not think about their re-election chances. They are focused on their principles.

Yet, in so doing, they are betraying the principles of democracy. It is in the nature of democracy to think about re-election. It means politicians remain in touch with their voters -- and it keeps them open to compromise.

The truth is the only reason we were able to slow down the massive power grab by the federal government to seize our wealth and confiscate our private enterprises was because of the elections in 2010. The freshman Republicans are doing EXACTLY what their constituents sent them to Washington to do "starve the beast".

But it doesn't go far enough. Boehner is in serious trouble of losing his leadership role, seventy four percent of the House members polled in 3,500 chapters said it is time to look at new leadership, and want somebody in the House who is more fiscally responsible.

The deal on the the debt limit debate was more of the same old crap, with spending ramping up immediately and cuts being implemented over a ten year period. We know that this congress cannot legally hold future congresses to any deals it makes today, the cuts will probably never happen, except for Obama's hatchet job on defense spending.

So while the liberals in both America and Europe are accusing the Tea Party of driving America into chaos and destruction, the truth is that America's problems today didn't start in 2009 when the Tea Party arrived on the scene. They started in the 1960's with LBJ's War on Poverty and what became the "second wave" of the great Socialist cause in America. That's when welfare and spending programs skyrocketed, families and communities and the public education system began to self-destruct, and our major cities became hellholes of blight and poverty.

If you were wondering when our European friends would speak out and and warn their American friends of the catastrophic results of the European welfare state, you can stop waiting. They are not going to warn us, they want to take us with them.

Watch this exchange between Ezra Klein and Rick Santelli from earlier today on MSNBC’s Morning Joe. Santelli, whose February 2009 on-air rant over fiscal and economic mismanagement inspired the start of the Tea Party.

Klein still clings to the holy grail of the Keynesians, that is, that money must be confiscated then "moved around" and distributed fairly by the political class to ensure equality, Santelli lays into the arrogant little snot, watch him squirm like the weasel he is.

Despite the failed, stimulus, failed, bailouts, and a worsening economy, liberals still believe that the failure is because we have implemented more of their insane, suicidal, tax and spend economic policies.

Just 22% Approve of Debt Ceiling Deal, Most Doubt It Will Cut Spending.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 22% of Likely Voters nationwide approve of the agreement while 53% disapprove. Twenty-six percent (26%) are not sure.

It seems the voters were right all along. While the media and the politicians fixated on the event, predicting doom and gloom, and Nancy Pelosi even going as far as scaring the old folks into thinking the Tea Party folks were out to kill them.

Most of knew weeks ago this would be the result. After weeks of beltway drama, they would agree to do nothing and go back to business as usual, each with enough evidence to prove to their constituents that they had tried their best, but this was the best they could do.

It's a little crazy really when you think about it, sending a politician to reduce the size of govt and reign in out of control spending that just happens to be their bread and butter. Anyone have a better idea, this ain't going to work.

Reform Welfare ? Let's cut the crap out of Defense.

Obama has the business class and the military directly in his sights. His war on the business class and his Keynesian economic policies has had devastating effect on our jobs, and economy. What isn't talked about much in the MSM is his war against the military and the recklessness with which he is going about cutting what he considers a cash cow for his social programs.

For all of his lavish new spending plans, President Obama is making one major exception: defense.

Obama has no real intention of tackling the government spending programs that pose the greatest risk to our future financial security. If he has his way, I think we all know what will happen, they will increase exponentially.

“I think what's absolutely true is that core commitments that we make to the most vulnerable have to be maintained,” [President Barack] Obama said. “A lot of the spending cuts that we're making should be around areas like defense spending as opposed to food stamps.”

Rather than a careful analysis of requirements, President Obama has encouraged a reckless approach to defense. When introducing his second pass at a budget proposal, the president announced a completely arbitrary $400 billion reduction in defense spending. Last week president Obama said :

"The nice thing about the defense budget is it's so big, it's so huge, that, you know, a one percent reduction is the equivalent of the education budget...I'm exaggerating. But it's so big that you can make relatively modest changes to defense that end up giving you a lot of headroom to fund things like basic research or student loans or things like that."

That is frightening statement to hear coming from the President of the United States, it's childlike and reveals what our commander-in-chief really thinks about America's defense, and it ain't much. Cut the budget ? Obama is rearranging the deck chairs and looking to loot the budget to fund his favorite programs.

It is a core commitment of the government of the United States to protect and defend the citizens of the country as outlined in the Constitution of the United States, It is NOT a core commitment of the Constitution to take other people’s money and redistribute it?

It would be more reassuring to see the so-called only adult in the room take an intelligent, bi-partisan, across the board approach to reining in our debt and balancing the budget. Obama has taken the partisan, linear approach, he will kill off the things "he" doesn't like first, then look at the other stuff later, if need be. That is not only crazy, it's dangerous.

The inexperience and amateurishness of this executive is becoming painfully obvious with each passing day, let's hope that the only thing that the damage from this train wreck isn't long term, and and our soldiers in harms way don't pay the ultimate price for this executives on the job training.

NASA satellite data from the years 2000 through 2011 show the Earth's atmosphere is allowing far more heat to be released into space than alarmist computer models have predicted, reports a new study in the peer-reviewed science journal Remote Sensing.

In short, the central premise of alarmist global warming theory is that carbon dioxide emissions should be directly and indirectly trapping a certain amount of heat in the earth's atmosphere and preventing it from escaping into space. Real-world measurements, however, show far less heat is being trapped in the earth's atmosphere than the alarmist computer models predict, and far more heat is escaping into space than the alarmist computer models predict.

Will this stop the global-warming fear-mongers? Of course not. Worse yet, even if global warming was a genuine threat, the cap-and-trade measures proposed as solutions are downright idiotic.

Who Pays for Cap and Trade

Cap and trade is a tax, and a scheme to redistribute income and wealth. Obama was depending on vast new carbon revenues in his budget. Politicians love cap and trade because they can claim to be taxing "polluters," not workers. Hardly. Once the government creates a scarce new commodity -- in this case the right to emit carbon -- and then mandates that businesses buy it, the costs would inevitably be passed on to all consumers in the form of higher prices.

Global Warming is based on a hoax. Yet governments spend nearly $60 billion globally on such nonsense every year. The Money flows to those bound to a set of predetermined answers that are ;

1. Global Warming exists, and is a substantial problem.

Contrary to popular belief, the US would not default. Troops would still be paid. Medicare and Medicaid would not stop, unless of course Obama and Geithner decided not to pay them.

There is easily a month or more to work out a better deal. There are many programs we can easily do away with that should not be funded at all, if they really tried.

Obama's proposals are as fake as his recovery, and unemployment figures, the democrats are playing a game. They have refused to deal with the budget for over 2 1/2 years, and have still not made any credible proposals, the game is to sit back and criticize, complain, and and say NO DEAL on anything that takes a serious shot at reducing spending. Obama's strategy is childish, scold the republicans into making a deal that his voting base will like.

All things considered, especially since Boehner's credibility is gone in his latest weak proposal, the best thing for Congress to do would be to NOT hike the debt ceiling and work out a credible plan over the next month.

Republicans have a golden opportunity to attempt to extract some major concessions in return for tiny tax concessions. Instead,with Bohner's plan they are going to settle for nothing.

Obama should lead, follow, or get out of the way.

With five days remaining before the government is forced to drastically cut services to avoid a default, Republicans have a bill that can't pass the Senate, and Democrats have a bill that House Republicans hate, this is what hope and change looks like, polarization and class-warfare.

You can't lead from behind. The president has not even put anything is writing. All we get from Obama are platitudes, promises, and threats, along with what he will not go along with. This has been a critical debate concerning our country's budget, and our future. Obama and the democrats have been completely absent and hiding in the bushes. Leaders must take risks, not just watch the polls and go along with whatever will get them re-elected. We have a total lack of leadership and a FAILURE of the the exectutive to do his job. When Obama tells us we must share the sacrifice, what is he sacrificing ? NOTHING !

Boehner should be given credit for trying, he has stuck to the principles that got him elected, smaller govt, less spending. In the end he will get more than the dems wanted to give up, and it is a step in the right direction, but a long way from anything substantial to turn the tide against the beast that is devouring our
wealth, and freedom.

So of course, Harry Reid has said it is DOA before he sees it, and is vowing to vote it down, and just in case it should get past the Senate, Obama is vowing to veto it.

Obama announced a 4 trillion dollar deficit plan. His media barking dogs ran off to file their pieces praising Obama and calling him ""the only adult in the room", the problem is, there is no plan. The only plan that Obama has put on paper was his February budget that increased spending, and doubled the debt.

The Democratic Senate has shown no interest in producing a budget for two-and-a-half years. Sen. Reid can't even be bothered pretending he's interested in spending reductions. His only interest is to carry on spending without limits. Obama's budget plan ? Obama rolls out his teleprompter and his aides write some really big numbers on it, he reads them, and that passes for leadership.

Michele Bachmann has emerged as a top Republican presidential candidate, so the time has come for the Left to start picking her apart. The attack this week was that Michelle Bachmann suffers from migraines. This shocking revaltaion comes from A group of anonymous "former aides and staffers" who claimed that Bachmann's condition has landed her in the hospital on at least three occasions, impacting her work on Capitol Hill. Bachmann was forced to respond that she has been able to control her infrequent attacks with medication, and she even supplied a doctor's note certifying that she's in "good general health."

What I am wondering is when we will get a letter from Obama's doctor certifying his mental health after years of drug abuse ? Don't hold your breath it's not going to happen.

The House has finally put some teeth in the bill to balance the budget and passed the Cut, Cap, and Balance Act which ensure Washington balances the budget and solves our debt crisis by living within its means.

Obama and the Democrats have no plan they want to continue their spending spree and have avoided their responsibility to present a serious budget proposal to the American people for over two years. Obama throws more rhetoric and promises at the problem. In speeches he gives about the budget he obfuscates, and talks about cutting maybe 500 Billion in maybe 10 years, maybe 15 years, who knows, or cares. It's a ruse, he has no plan and any cuts that are not immediate will never happen.

After playing the "race card' again by accusing Eric Cantor of treating  him worse that "any other" president in history, he storms out of the discussions with Congress and runs back to the  Gang of Six proposal, the one he was against before, he was for it ? Leadership  now  means wait and see what the Republicans offer, complain, criticize and shop around for a better offer.

Any deal that does not do immediate cuts is phony, we know from experience politicians have 100% success rate in fulfilling promises to raise taxes, but are not so good when it comes to making spending reductions real, in fact they will never happen. But the tax increases sure as hell will.

As the debate over the nation’s debt continues, I still believe that any increase in the debt limit must be accompanied by substantial spending cuts and reforms.this measure will ensure Washington balances the budget and solves our debt crisis by living within its means.

The American people are saying to Washington, ‘Quit spending money we don’t have.’  So today House Republicans will bring to the floor the Cut, Cap, and Balance plan…  There is no other credible plan on the table that avoids default and solves the problem.”

The Cut, Cap, and Balance Act contains three provisions designed to avert our debt crisis by controlling federal spending and preventing unnecessary tax hikes on job creators:

    (1) Cuts total spending immediately – $111 billion in cuts over the next year alone and $5.8 trillion over the next decade.
    (2) Caps federal spending at less than 20% of the economic output of the United States within a decade.
    (3) Requires the passage of a balanced budget amendment before raising the nation’s debt limit.

Contact your representative and them know you support this bill. And that you are tired of failed leadership. Let them know you want politicians to do something about out of control spending, government waste, and fraud, and work within a budget.

The NYT facsinated with phone hacking scandal in UK

The NYT is fascinated with the phone hacking scandal in the UK. It seems they can't get enough of it. Could it be that they are really concerned for the family who's privacy was violated and have experienced a terrible trauma, first with the murder of their daughter, then by finding out their phones had been hacked by some overzealous, idiotic reporters ?

I am guessing not. I mean what we know about the liberal media is that cold blooded partisanship, and self-serving reporting is the norm. The interest of the people are only a casual and convenient byproduct for what is disseminated and served to the masses. It is party and cause above country as usual.

Meanwhile here at home what doesn't get much attention is a flat, hamster wheel economy that still is losing jobs, and has put millions of people out of work, people who are also losing their homes, while Obama has handed over hundreds of billions of dollars to the zombie banks, that should have been left to fail and go bankrupt, and the money used to help keep families in their
homes, and keep our communities together, not to save fat cat bankers, No outrage here by the NYT ?

Also just when you thought we had seen the last of the dirty cozy relationship between the Feds and the banks to hand out money to people who cannot pay it back (someone will have to) DOJ gets caught strong-arming small banks with potential charges of racism, if they do not set aside millions to lend to minorities for more, you guessed it, sub-prime loans. No outrage here by the NYT ?

It also seems that the investigation of operation "gun runner" by Darell Isa has revealed some very disturbing information.The Dept of Selective Justice has been running an illegal gun operation into Mexico, with the intent of creating enough outrage here to implement new gun laws to take away guns from, not gangsters, or Mexican drug cartels, but honest hardworking American people. remember when Obama said ; " 99% of the guns being used in Mexico came from the U.S. " Well another bold faced lie from the liar-in-chief, but now it seems it was part of a bigger scam by the White House to implement new gun control laws. And this one directly costs the lives of Americans. No outrage here by the NYT either ?

Obama continues to pursue his strategy of Debt Ceiling Demagoguery and Extortion, and NOT seriously addressing the issue of the National Debt, or Budget. Instead of seriously attacking our spending and debt problem, Obama has launched a two pronged smear and fear mongering campaign to restore his addiction to spending our money. First by scaring Grandma, and Grandpa into thinking that their SSI checks will not come, and then using the debt ceiling talks and refusal to raise the borrowing limit as an excuse for this sick, and dying economy. No outrage here by the NYT either ?

The Obama administration continues it's illegal war in Libya, predator strikes in Pakistan and Afghanistan targeted international killings by the state, that have killed hundreds of civilians, torture at Gitmo, and billions of dollars of stimulus money have disappeared, Billions of dollars in federal aid delivered directly to the local level to help revive the economy have gone overwhelmingly to places that supported President Obama in the 2008 presidential election.

Most of the media have confined their outrage towards torture, war, illegal banking activities, stolen money, payoffs to campaign contributors, and crony capitalism to the years 2001-2008, after that the outrage seems to have faded, no boots in the street, no demonstrations, no concern for murdered civilians, or concern for the human rights of captured terrorists, except of course unless something interesting happens in Israel that fits their narrative. And no concern for the millions of America people who are losing their jobs, and their homes as a result of a Ponzi schemed cooked up by the Federal government, and the big banks to steal our wealth.

Maybe that's the real story.
